- Matric / Senior Certificate with Mathematics and Accounting
Requirements
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ working experience in a risk, compliance or data environment
- Relevant JDE and or Syspro experience will be advantageous
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with the capacity to identify discrepancies, interpret data and resolve issues effectively
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a strong commitment to accuracy and data quality in a high-volume environment
- Ability to work with speed, precision and consistency under pressure while meeting agreed deadlines
- Highly organised and results-driven, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and drive continuous improvement
- High levels of integrity, accountability, sound judgement and a strong work ethic, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Clear and professional communicator with a customer-service mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
Duties
- Maintain a thorough understanding of master data requirements, standards and business rules;
- Capture and maintain accurate, complete and validated master data information in the relevant ERP system;
- Conduct regular master data audits to identify discrepancies, duplicates and outdated account information within the relevant ERP system;
- Maintain complete and verifiable audit logs of all master data changes to support internal and external audit requirements;
- Generate, review and analyse exception reports to identify anomalies before they impact processing accuracy or business controls;
- Develop and execute corrective data clean-up plans based on audit findings to prevent recurring data quality issues;
- Review and recommend updates to the Master Data Manuals in line with changes to compliance legislation, SARS requirements and internal banking security protocols;
- Resolve master data queries within agreed service level agreements;
- Process master data requests in accordance with the latest Master Data Manuals, including required verification through Standard Bank, TransUnion and the South African Revenue Service (SARS);
- Ensure adherence to the company’s delegation of authority, internal controls and applicable statutory requirements; and
- Perform ad hoc duties within the reasonable scope of the role, as required.
