Wild Impact Foundation Trust (Wild Impact) (www.wildimpact.earth) is a non-profit organisation supporting the conservation of 14 biodiversity landscapes and seascapes, and the sustainable development of the communities that are the custodians of these areas. These areas are situated in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya, Bhutan and Chile. Wild Impact works in close collaboration with &Beyond (www.andBeyond.com), with a shared Impact Vision guiding and shaping the development and implementation of all projects.
Wild Impact is recruiting a Graphic Designer to support the organisation’s visual communication and storytelling across digital and print platforms. This role is central to translating impact, conservation, and community narratives into compelling, on-brand visual content.
Reporting to Wild Impact’s Senior Manager: Communications and Partnerships,the Graphic Designer will work closely with the communications, fundraising, partnerships, and programme teams to deliver high-quality design outputs that strengthen brand consistency, support campaigns, and enhance organisational storytelling.
This role plays a critical part in reinforcing Wild Impact’s brand identity and nurturing a strong, values-driven organisational culture through visually compelling and purposeful design.
KEY OUTPUTS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Multi-Page Document Design (Adobe InDesign – Core Skill)
- Design Annual Reviews, profiles, reports, brochures, manuals, and product guides using strong layout principles.
- Build consistent styles across large documents with paragraph and character styles.
- Use grids, margins, master pages, and proper text threading to ensure structure and flow.
- Prepare documents for print using correct bleed, slug, and pre-flighting protocols.
- Manage linked assets for efficient file handling and high-resolution output.
Product Photo Retouching & Photomontages
- Retouch product images for colour, clarity, and presentation using Photoshop.
- Create photomontages from prototype imagery to show how products appear in real-world use.
- Use clipping paths, masking, and background removal for clean compositions.
- Apply lighting and shadow adjustments to make composite images feel natural and realistic.
Infographics & Visual Content
- Design clean, modern infographics in Illustrator that simplify complex concepts.
- Ensure consistent colour use, typography, and visual hierarchy across all materials.
- Create vector-based icons and diagrams that support Echo Barrier’s branding.
General Graphic Design
- Produce on-brand marketing and internal collateral across print and digital.
- Apply expert typography with precision.
- Manage and export assets in appropriate formats (PNG, JPG, PDF, EPS, AI, PSD).
- Maintain meticulous attention to detail and a high standard of visual accuracy.
PowerPoint & Presentations
- Design engaging, professional slide decks that align with our brand.
- Use master slides, animations, and data visualisation where needed.
- Format and export decks for PDF, video, or interactive use.

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of professional graphic design experience (or proven portfolio demonstrating the required skill level).
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Arts or a closely related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- In-depth, detail-oriented knowledge of prepress processes, paper specification, colour management and large-format file preparation.
- Demonstrated ability to be proactive, anticipate needs and offer solutions rather than waiting for instruction.
- Comfortable working collaboratively under pressure on multiple, concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Sandton office-based role, with extended hours.
