A branding and communications agency is looking for a Mid-Senior Graphic Designer with fashion/retail experience.
Job description/duties:
Create-lead visual concepts that communicate inspiring digital ideas which will inform and captivate consumers. To design layouts and roll out into 360-degree campaigns. Designs include BTL print elements, digital, visual merchandising and in-store signage. Execute the visual communication and expression of concepts and ideas using graphics and language. Solve problems and challenges a client may face in marketing.
- Meet with clients, project team or account manager to clearly understand the brief
- Research concepts (using online, store visits, brand CI, campaign creative, etc.) to gather insights, ideas and brand understanding
- Develop strategic thinking to assist in the formation of creative concepts
- Participate and contribute to brainstorming and workshops
- Initiate the creative direction and concept
- Articulation of thinking into concepts using visuals
- Present to creative director/ account manager / team/ client
- Creatively direct a team if more resources are required (freelance or internal or junior designers)
- Work closely with the copywriters and present concepts to the Lead Brand Designer and Creative Director
- Selecting models for shoots, if required
- Shoot planning and art directing on still shoots
- Layout and design
- Image sourcing, selecting and cropping
- Follow reverts and chain of instruction carefully
- Save and file work accurately on the server
- Precision to setting up artwork according to specifications
- Ensure deadlines are met and the design process is efficient
- Develop finished artwork
Requirements:
- Graphic design diploma or degree
- 5-10 years experience
- Software: Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Advantageous: Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, After Effects
- Excellent knowledge and experience in e-commerce and social media design
- Candidates must possess the ability to think strategically about the creative outcome of a campaign process
- Adaptable between multi-tasking and singular focus for campaigns/brands/clients as required
- An ability to cope with a high work volume within tight deadlines is critical
