Job Summary
Assess creditworthiness of SMEs and empowerment enterprises across diverse industries
Conduct detailed financial due diligence, including financial statement analysis and ratio assessment
Build financial models, forecasts and scenario analyses in Excel to evaluate funding feasibility
Structure deals responsibly, sense‑check lending terms and recommend amendments where needed
Prepare Investment Committee documentation: models, written analyses, investment memoranda and risk summaries
Draft and conclude loan and security agreements, ensuring compliance with credit policies
Monitor loan agreements, covenants and conditions through the life cycle of the facility
Ensure credit policies, criteria and documentation are correctly applied and updated as required
Liaise professionally with clients, internal teams and third parties regarding new and existing loans
Research industries, funding trends and financial data to strengthen due‑diligence processes
Present findings and recommendations to the credit team, management and the Investment Committee
Manage multiple funding opportunities simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
Skills & Experience:
Demonstrated credit experience
Ability to analyse SMEs from a financial sustainability and repayment‑capacity perspective
Strong financial modelling and quantitative analysis capability
Ability to evaluate funding opportunities, assess business models and interpret financial performance
Experience constructing scenarios, reviewing credit applications and preparing IC packs
Able to communicate professionally with clients, strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be resilient, curious, calm and solutions‑driven
Self‑starter who thrives in an environment that values independence, ownership and continuous learning
Team‑oriented but comfortable operating independently when required
Intermediate Excel skills - required
Qualification:
BCom, B.Bus.Sci, CA(SA), CFA OR Equivalent
