Job Summary
A well-established national company within the wholesale and distribution sector is seeking an experienced Internal Sales Consultant to join their Pietermaritzburg branch.
This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who enjoys building strong customer relationships, supporting sales growth, and working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving branch sales, supporting customers with product enquiries, and ensuring excellent service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve daily sales and profit targets
- Provide professional customer service and product support to clients
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers
- Generate sales opportunities and assist with customer enquiries and quotations
- Process and manage sales administration and related documentation
- Promote the company’s online platform and customer loyalty programmes
- Liaise with suppliers and customers to support branch profitability and growth
- Assist with general branch administration and operational duties
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / NQF Level 4 qualification
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Internal Sales role
- Experience within a wholesale, retail, or distribution environment
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Good computer literacy (Outlook, Word, Excel and ERP systems)
- Technical product knowledge within refrigeration or air-conditioning equipment would be advantageous
