Job Summary
Position Summary: As the Senior Store Manager, you will be fully accountable for the operational and financial success of the assigned branch. You will lead a diverse team, drive sales growth, and ensure that company standards are maintained at the highest level. This role requires a hands-on leader who can think strategically and report directly to the Directors.
Key Responsibilities:
Store Operations: Oversee daily operations, ensuring the store is clean, well-merchandised, and running efficiently.
Sales & Financials: Drive sales targets, manage budgets, control shrinkage/stock loss, and maximise profitability.
Staff Management: Recruit, train, roster, and mentor staff. Handle performance management and disciplinary processes when necessary.
Customer Service: Lead by example to ensure customer satisfaction is a priority and resolve complex customer complaints.
Reporting: Compile and present weekly/monthly reports on sales, staff performance, and stock levels to the Directors.
Stock Control: Manage inventory levels, oversee stock takes, and ensure correct pricing and merchandising.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in retail management, with at least 2 years in a Senior Manager or Branch Manager role.
Education: Grade 12 (Matric) is essential; a tertiary qualification in Retail Management, Business Administration, or similar is highly advantageous.
Leadership: Proven track record of managing teams.
Skills: Strong computer literacy.
