Job Summary
IT TECHNICIAN/EAST LONDON - To Drive, Assist with Managing, Deliver and plan all specifically assigned IT related tasks of the business. The IT Technician will assist the Systems Administrator to make sound business choices within their specific department / role. WILLINGNESS TO TRAVEL (extensively)
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar IT role
- Matric Certificate
- A+ and N+ Certificate
- Advantageous Knowledge / Skills:
- MCSE/ MCITP
- Active Directory and Microsoft Server Experience
- VMware and Hyper V experience
Key Responsibilities
- Remote and on-site support
- Offer first line and second line remote support
- On-site support when necessary
- Installation of POS and systems
- Maintenance and management of IT systems, such as, but not limited to:
- Telephones, internet, digital media
- Manage 3rd party support calls logged with service providers
- Manage and maintenance current software deployed , such as, but not limited to: o Microsoft OS; Microsoft 365 products, Pastel Evolution, Third Party Services and Software
- Configuration and maintenance of hardware
- Biometric time and attendance readers
- Configure and maintain IT infrastructure, Provide/implement solutions
- Design and implement internal network infrastructure (LAN)
- Regular store visits to carry out maintenance and audits
- Cable management
- Manage service providers and their respective services
