About the Role
We are seeking a confident, customer-focused Counter Sales Assistant to join our vape retail store in Boksburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving in-store sales, advising customers on product selection, and maintaining store standards.
Key Responsibilities
Serve walk-in customers and provide accurate product advice on devices, e-liquids, coils, and accessories
Achieve daily and monthly sales targets
Operate the point-of-sale system and handle cash, card, and mobile payments accurately
Verify customer age in line with legislative requirements and company policy
Receive stock, conduct stock counts, and report discrepancies
Maintain product displays, pricing, and general store cleanliness
Assist with basic device troubleshooting and coil replacements
Handle customer queries and complaints professionally
Complete daily cash-ups and sales reporting
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 or equivalent
Minimum 1 year retail or counter sales experience
Clear criminal record
Must be 18 years or older
Resident in or able to reliably commute to Boksburg
Fluent in English (additional languages advantageous)
Available to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
Advantageous
Prior experience in the vape, tobacco, or specialised retail sector
Working knowledge of vaping devices and e-liquid categories
Point-of-sale system experience

Able to work independently and as part of a small team
Attention to detail with cash and stock handling
Remuneration
Market-related basic salary plus commission structure, discussed at interview stage.
