Draughtsman & Estimator
Our client in the development leasing and management of commercial and industrial real estate is seeking a Draughtsman & Estimator to join their team.
Job Location: East London/Kugompo
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing manufacturing drawings and accurately estimate on aluminum windows, doors, shopfronts etc.
Prepare quotes and drawings for clients.
After client sign off put jobs into production.
Drafting and Design: Produce technical shop drawings, elevation designs, and cutting lists using computer software like AutoCAD and Bizman.
Estimating and Costing: Calculate material quantities (glass, aluminium profiles, hardware) and prepare accurate tenders, bills of quantities (BOQs).
Project Support: Liaise with architects, clients, and site managers, take on-site measurements, and assist with project tracking through to installation
Key Requirements:
Certificate or qualification in Drafting and design
NQF 4 or NQF 5 Draughting Qualification, AutoCAD Certification2 to 3 years' experience in aluminum and glass manufacturing
Knowledge of AAAMSA and SAGGA standards.
Bizman software experience.
Excel skills.
CAD skills.
Strong Excel and estimating skills.
