Job Summary
We are seeking a Business Unit Leader: Corporate Legal Services.
Please note the key focus areas below:
Role Level
- This is an executive?level legal leadership role, not a purely technical legal position. Candidates must have led a legal function or business unit with accountability for strategy, people, budget and risk.
Essential Experience (Non?Negotiable)
- Minimum qualification of an LLM degree
- Minimum 15 years post?qualification experience
- At least 5 years at senior management / executive level
- Strong experience in public sector, SOE or highly regulated environments
- Proven exposure to public law, governance and regulatory frameworks
Core Capabilities
Candidates should demonstrate leadership (not just exposure) in:
- Litigation strategy and oversight of high?risk matters
- Legislative drafting and review (including enabling legislation)
- Commercial and contract management, including high?risk contracts
- Debt collection through legal and litigation?driven processes
