Midvaal Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled and driven Sage Pastel Payroll Support Consultant on behalf of our client within the payroll and consulting services industry.
This position is primarily office-based, with regular travel to client sites. A valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle are essential.
Minimum Requirements

Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification

Sage Pastel Payroll Certification (SPAS / Sage Partner Payroll)
-
Minimum 2 years’ experience working with Sage Pastel Payroll
-
Strong understanding of payroll processing (weekly, fortnightly, monthly)

Experience with E@syfile submissions, including EMP501
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence
Advantageous Skills & Experience

Knowledge of Pervasive Control Centre (PCC)

Exposure to additional Sage products
-
Strong client service and communication skills
-
Sales ability with a flair for upselling and client engagement

Ability to work independently and under pressure

Willingness to learn and grow within the role
Key Responsibilities
-
Provide telephonic and on-site support to clients
-
Process payrolls across multiple frequencies (weekly, fortnightly, monthly)

Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation
-
Submit EMP501s via E@syfile
-
Assist clients with payroll-related queries and system issues
-
Promote and sell additional services, upgrades, and solutions
-
Proactively canvas for new business opportunities during quieter periods
