Central Gauteng Mental Health Society is in need of Maintenance Worker to be based at Head Office, Johannesburg.
Responsibilities:
• Assess various buildings and equipment and detect potential safety hazards.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify faulty equipment and perform repairs.
• Inspect a buildings’ plumbing and electrical systems and conduct maintenance and repair work wherever necessary.
• Keep records of equipment manuals and user guides as well as maintenance practices and repair work done on all facilities and equipment.
• Provide technical advice where required.
• Manage relationships with service providers/contractors.
• Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
• Train beneficiaries who shows interest in maintenance work.
Requirements:
• Must have passed grade 10.
• A certificate in both plumbing and electrical will serve as an advantage
• Proven experience as a maintenance worker.
• Must have a driver’s license.
• Strong practical and technical skills recommended.
• Have solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems.
