Job Summary
Duties:
Supervise and coordinate banquet and event service operations
Lead and support the banqueting service team during events
Deliver exceptional guest service and maintain 5* hospitality standards
Brief staff before events regarding service requirements and event details
Monitor service quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction
Handle guest requests and resolve service issues professionally
Ensure banquet venues are clean, organized, and properly prepared
Coordinate effectively with kitchen, bar, and event teams
Maintain compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards
Assist with stock control, equipment handling, and operational reporting
Provide a warm and welcoming experience to guests, ensuring their satisfaction and comfort
Receive guests in a friendly and welcoming manner
Receive meal orders and serve food and beverages to guests
Ensure cleanliness of dining areas, including setting and clearing tables
Provide menu recommendations and answer guests' questions about food and beverages
Assist with any other guest needs to enhance their dining experience
Follow health and safety regulations, including food handling guidelines
Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service
Collaborate with other staff to ensure smooth operations and a positive guest experience.
Cash handling: Process payments and maintain accuracy in billing.
Enhance the guest experience by providing a personalized service ensuring memorable guest
Upsell menu options and make recommendations with confidence to enhance guests' experience.
Adhere to all health, safety, and service regulations protocols.
Perform other duties and tasks as operationally required.
Requirements:
Hospitality related qualification advantageous
At least 2 years’ experience in a Head waiter capacity working in a 5* star hotel environment
Experience working in a hotel banqueting / conferencing environment preferable
Strong leadership and team supervision skills
Ability to motivate and lead a team
Experience in menu and food pairing.
Knowledge of cocktails, wines, and other alcoholic beverages is advantageous.
Well-groomed and professional disposition
Be well versed in the English language essential (additional languages are a plus).
Friendly, approachable, and professional with a positive, friendly attitude and strong desire to provide excellent service.
Ability to manage conflict and challenging situations with respect and diplomacy
Ability to multitask and to work long hours on your feet within a fast-paced pressurized environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and efficiency pertaining to area of responsibility.
Flexibility to work on weekends, public holidays, evenings and as per operational requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and F&B operating systems
