Job Summary
A well-established organisation is seeking a HR, Industrial Relations and Payroll Administrator to join their team. This role is responsible for the full HR and payroll administration function, including end-to-end payroll processing, time and attendance management, employee relations support and HR reporting across multiple branches.
This is a hands-on role suited to a highly organised individual with strong payroll, IR and HR administration experience who can ensure accuracy, compliance and efficient processes across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full end-to-end payroll process and administration
- Maintain time and attendance, leave and ESS systems
- Prepare EMP201 submissions, reconciliations and statutory reports
- Handle Department of Labour documentation, UI19s and related correspondence
- Manage mid-year and year-end tax processes
- Compile and submit Employment Equity reports and support EE committees
- Oversee WSP and ATR submissions
- Prepare employment contracts and manage onboarding administration
- Provide HR reporting and maintain accurate employee records
- Support employee relations and industrial relations processes
- Assist with disciplinary processes and compliance documentation
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently
- Maintain WCA documentation and correspondence
- Produce monthly HR and payroll reports
Requirements
- Matric plus relevant HR qualification (Diploma or Degree preferred)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior HR/IR/payroll administration role
- Proven end-to-end payroll experience (Payspace preferred or similar system)
- Strong knowledge of BCEA, LRA, EEA and disciplinary procedures
- Advanced MS Office skills (Excel essential)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
