Job Summary
Our client, a Chemical business based in Pretoria, is seeking to employ an HR Manager to lead and manage the overall HR function, ensuring the effective implementation of policies, procedures, and systems that align with the organisation’s goals. The HR Manager is responsible for workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and talent development.
Responsibilities:
· Develop & implement HR strategies aligned with company’s overall objectives
· Oversee recruitment, onboarding, & retention initiatives to attract a& retain top talent
· Ensure compliance with labour laws, regulations, & internal policies
· Manage employee relations, including grievances, disciplinary actions, & conflict resolution
· Coordinate training & development programs to enhance employee performance & career growth
· Administer compensation, benefits, & payroll in coordination with Finance
· Drive performance management processes including KPIs, reviews, & performance improvement plans
· Maintain & update HR policies, procedures, & employee handbooks
· Promote a positive workplace culture, including diversity, equity, & inclusion efforts
Qualifications:
· Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
· 3-5 years’ experience in HR generalist / HR management role
· Professional certification (e.g. SABPP, HRM, SHRM, or CIPD) an advantage
