The Department of Computing Sciences (CS) is looking to fill a position of Lecturer within the department with an enthusiastic, forward-thinking person who will contribute to the vision and mission of the Department. The field of Computing Sciences includes Computer Science and Information Systems. There are three key areas of performance that academic staff members in the department need to meet, namely: 1) learning and teaching; 2) engagement and 3) research generally focused within the Department’s research areas (descriptive topics available upon request).
The appointee will be expected to assist in the presentation of some of the undergraduate programming modules. |

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS |

Learning and Teaching
Research • Provide research supervision to honours students; • Participate in research projects within the Department; • Generate research outputs for publication in the Department’s research areas; • Represent the Department at relevant Faculty and University research forums. Engagement • Participate in or initiate Departmental engagement activities, which could include engagement with schools, industry and other external stakeholders; and • Represent the Department at relevant Faculty and University engagement forums. |
