Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled BI / SQL Developer to join Idbase’s central data team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain enterprise data pipelines, relational warehouse structures, and analytical reporting models. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional business stakeholders to transform complex transactional data into actionable insights using the Microsoft SQL Data Platform and Power BI ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Data Warehouse & Database Engineering:
Design, build, and optimize relational data models, star schemas, and data warehouse structures.
Write high-performance T-SQL queries, Stored Procedures, Views, and User-Defined Functions.
Perform query optimization, index management, and performance tuning across SQL Server environments.
ETL & Data Pipeline Development:
Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines integrating disparate source systems into central warehouses.
Migrate, transform, and orchestrate automated data workflows using Azure Data Factory / Synapse pipelines and SSIS.
Analytics & Reporting (Power BI):
Develop complex tabular data models and implement advanced DAX measures for business KPIs.
Build interactive, highly visual Power BI dashboards aligned with governance standards.
Manage workspace administrative access, Row-Level Security (RLS), and scheduled dataset refreshes.
Governance & Operational Support:
Support Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives and maintain data lineage across environments.
Troubleshoot operational pipeline failures, data anomalies, and reporting defects.
Required Technical Stack & Qualifications
Core Tech Stack:
Database & Querying: Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL (Stored Procedures, CTEs, Window Functions).
BI & Visualization: Microsoft Power BI Desktop & Service, DAX, Power Query (M).
Integration & Cloud Data: Azure Synapse Analytics / Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory (ADF), or SSIS.
Data Modeling: Dimensional modeling (Kimball methodology), Star/Snowflake Schemas.
Experience & Education:
5–7+ years of hands-on experience in SQL development and Business Intelligence solutions.
Demonstrated experience handling enterprise-scale data transformations.
Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related discipline.
Relevant Microsoft Certifications (e.g., PL-300: Power BI Data Analyst or DP-203: Data Engineering on Azure) are highly advantageous.
