Job Summary

CAPS Locum Teacher (Intermediate & Senior Phase) – Sandton

Start Date: Immediate

A well-established public school in the Sandton area is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced CAPS Locum Teacher to join their team immediately.

Key Responsibilities

Teach Grade 7 Afrikaans First Additional Language (FAL).
Teach Geography and/or other allocated Intermediate and Senior Phase subjects.
Deliver engaging, CAPS-aligned lessons and assess learner progress.
Maintain effective classroom management and contribute positively to the school environment.

Minimum Requirements

BEd or PGCE qualification in the Intermediate and Senior Phase
Must be registered on the GDE database
Sound knowledge and experience of the CAPS curriculum.
Ability to teach Grade 7 Afrikaans FAL is essential.
Experience teaching Geography will be advantageous.
Strong classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
SACE registration (or eligibility to register) is preferred.

Remuneration

R20,000 – R24,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and adaptable educator who is available to commence duties immediately.
