About the position:
Our client is a fast growing School Payments Business on a mission, to make school payments quick and simple for both the schools and their parents. Hundreds of schools are using their technology across South Africa. By joining our client, you will have the opportunity to be a part of their rapidly growing and proudly South African Fintech team. You can play a pivotal role in bringing accelerated adoption of their system, to schools in South Africa.
As part of their Leadership team, you will grow their footprint within their existing base of schools and look for more opportunities to do this, by leveraging some of their key partnerships. This requires the constant developing and deepening of positive business and customer relationships with schools.
Responsibilities:
- Profit maximization through:
- Promoting topline revenue. Set and own the achievement of top line targets
- Supporting cost management. Partner closely with Finance. Working in a hands-on manner with the existing base of schools across the country and leading a team of account managers to achieve big monthly revenue goals
- Identifying, developing and harnessing new ideas, aligned to company goals
- Customer management from initial usage of our clients’ products, to growth of our client's products within the schools as long term customers
- Contributing to short-term and long-term planning to support strategic business goals
- Ownership and reporting of key metrics against targets on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Monitoring of competitors
- Participating in the planning and execution of marketing and advertising activities
- Working within the company’s CRM system to oversee engagements with their schools
- National travel and face to face meetings with schools are a key part of this role
- Providing training at regular intervals with quarterly workshops
- Presenting at conferences, school board meetings and the like
- Managing key partnerships that the company holds with external suppliers
- This will entail the management of communication
- Alignment of goals with an external team
- Technical implementation of growth opportunities with external suppliers
- Looking at the best way of leveraging these partnerships to grow out contribution the business’ profitability
Qualifications and Experience required:
- Tertiary education essential
- You must have project and account management experience at management or senior leadership level, preferably in the education and/or tech industry
- A seasoned B2B and B2C leader with project management experience
- Experience in managing remote teams
- Experience with CRM systems
- Experience in writing a business requirements specifications and descriptions of product needs or enhancements
- Ability to draw insights and translate into actionable tactics
