Job Title: Air Conditioning Technician & Facilities Coordinator (In-House)
Location: East Rand (Kempton / Boksburg / Benoni area)
Salary: Up to R25 000 (depending on experience)
Role Overview
The client is looking for a hands-on and reliable Air Conditioning Technician who will also take responsibility for general facilities maintenance. This is an in-house role within a specialised aviation and training environment, suited to a technically strong individual who enjoys a varied, practical role and a stable working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
- Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems
- Work on Viking air-conditioning units and water chiller systems
- Conduct routine inspections, fault finding, and preventative maintenance
- Ensure all systems are operating efficiently and in line with safety standards
Facilities Maintenance
- Oversee general maintenance of buildings and facilities
- Perform basic electrical, plumbing, and repair work
- Manage and coordinate external contractors when required
- Maintain maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations
- Respond to maintenance issues and breakdowns timeously
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in air conditioning and refrigeration
- Proven experience working with chillers and commercial HVAC systems
- Exposure to Viking air-conditioning equipment highly advantageous
- Solid all-round maintenance skills (electrical, plumbing, general repairs)
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the facilities function
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding ability

- Good communication skills and professional work ethic
- Ability to manage multiple maintenance priorities
