Our client, a leader in sustainable agri-processing and export of organic products, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join their team in Mohale’s Hoek, Lesotho. With a deep focus on ethical biotrade and production of high-quality organic goods, our client operates at the heart of community-driven agriculture.

As the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating all operational activities, supervising teams and ensuring best practices in production and compliance with international organic standards. You will be responsible for overseeing audits, managing multiple departments, liaising with auditors and stakeholders and facilitating innovative operational strategies to boost efficiency and profitability.

Minimum requirements

• Matric
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English
• Minimum 5 years proven experience in a similar role. Practical experience in animal feed plant, milling or agricultural industry
• MUST have a passport and apply for a residency permit
• MUST be willing live in Lesotho (fully furnished house provided by employer)
• Valid driver's license and vehicle
• Proficiency in quality control, managing budgets and production costing
• Availability to work extended hours to meet deadlines when necessary
• Ability to analyse data and identify areas for improvement
• Exceptional analytical ability in solving production-related concerns

Duties and responsibilities

• Oversee all operational aspects of various plants to ensure production and delivery targets are met
• Control production cost to drive profitability
• Ensure safety compliance
• Mentor, coach and train production staff
• Maintain clear and accurate documents / procedures
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular meetings
• Oversee planning and delivery of daily operational tasks
• Oversee effective management of stock
• Oversee service and calibration of all operational equipment
• Ensure monitoring, release and technical goals and targets are met
• Do regular checks and ensure quality standards are adhered to
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Effective interaction with board members and leading of teams

Remuneration

R 110 000 - R 140 000 Cost to company + Performance bonus
