Job Summary
Mirna Butler Recruitment is recruiting for our client, a leading agricultural enterprise with operations across multiple regions in Western Australia. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee planting, cultivating, and harvesting of crops including wheat, barley, canola, lupins, and faba beans
- Operate and maintain a range of farm machinery including tractors, harvesters, and sprayers
- Identify and manage pest and disease issues, including chemical application
- Maintain and repair farm infrastructure such as fencing, sheds, and water systems
- Use and maintain GPS systems, yield monitors, and other data collection tools
- Supervise and train junior staff, ensuring safe and efficient work practices
- Keep accurate records of all paddock operations and farm activities
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Requirements:
- Proven experience in broadacre cropping operations
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with modern farm machinery
- Familiarity with precision agriculture technologies
- Ability to lead and train others in a team environment
- Commitment to safety and compliance
- Willingness to relocate to Australia
Remuneration:
- Starting salary: AUD $80,000 per annum (based on a 38-hour work week)
- Overtime paid for additional hours (expect an additional AUD $12,000–$15,000 annually)
