An established fruit producer and exporter based in Somerset West, is looking to appoint an analytical and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team. The company specialises in the production and export of premium South African fruit to international markets.

The successful candidate will have strong financial and administrative skills, the ability to work accurately under pressure, and enjoy operating in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Processing and posting receipts against debtors on a weekly basis
• Handling sales invoices, including shipper invoices
• Capturing and updating pricing information according to purchase orders
• Preparing and distributing reports on outstanding prices
• Capturing and processing creditor transactions
• Preparing cost-per-carton reports
• Processing cost entries and reconciliations
• Preparing reconciled creditor lists in line with statements
• Assisting with monthly general ledger tasks
• Managing packaging material orders and related bookkeeping
• Assisting with general finance and administrative duties related to the role

Minimum Requirements

• BCom Accounting degree or similar qualification
• SAICA or SAIPA articles completed, or currently in progress
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel
• Experience working on Xero
• Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English
• Own reliable transport
