Join a Leading Nursery Provider in Africa!
We are seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to provide exceptional after-sales support, machine maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting for clients across South Africa and other African regions. This opportunity is ideal for a young, ambitious, and mechanically inclined technician who enjoys travelling, problem-solving, and working with advanced nursery automation equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and maintain nursery automation machines and equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues
- Conduct preventative maintenance and provide client training
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems
- Deliver on-site and remote technical support
- Travel extensively to client sites across Africa
Requirements
- N6 or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and basic electrical principles
- Exposure to PLC systems (Siemens experience advantageous)
- Valid passport and willingness to travel regularly
