Job Summary
Our client, an established and respected mechanical services company in the Koue Bokkeveld, specialises in the maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery. They are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Diesel Mechanic who has a passion for mechanics and takes pride in quality workmanship, reliable service and providing practical solutions to their clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Service, maintain and repair diesel-powered agricultural machinery, tractors and other agricultural equipment.
Diagnose and identify mechanical and electrical faults.
Perform routine maintenance and preventative servicing to ensure equipment reliability and optimal performance.
Identify technical problems and implement effective repair solutions.
Carry out repairs on-site and on farms when required.
Inspect and test machinery after repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Identify parts requiring replacement and communicate parts requirements to the relevant person.
Complete service reports, job cards and maintenance records.
Ensure all work is performed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with the required quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Relevant qualification as a Diesel Mechanic.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
Excellent knowledge of agricultural equipment and machinery, particularly tractors and sprayer pumps.
Reliable, hardworking and possessing excellent technical skills.
