Job Summary

Our client, an established and dynamic farming operation located approximately 40 km outside Ceres in the Warm Bokkeveld, offers an excellent opportunity for a Junior Production Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting a production unit comprising approximately 50 hectares of apples and pears, as well as 30 hectares of onions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage and coordinate apple and pear production.
Manage and coordinate onion production.
Ensure product and production quality in accordance with prescribed standards.
Supervise, lead, and develop production staff.
Implement and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
Maintain accurate production records and prepare timely reports.
Plan, organise, and monitor daily production activities.
Manage resources efficiently to achieve production targets.

REQUIREMENTS:

Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
A tertiary qualification in Agriculture will be advantageous.
Experience in apple and pear production.
Experience in onion production will be a strong advantage.
Good computer literacy (MS Office).
A valid driver's licence.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Strong leadership qualities, a proactive approach, and the ability to take initiative.
Good planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
The ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
