Job Summary
My clients in the Brits area, is looking for a Field Officer to join their dynamic team.
Minimum requirements:
BSc Agric or similar postgraduate qualification
AVCASA qualification will be an advantage
Minimum 2 years experience in the citrus industry
Excellent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans
Computer literate (MS Word and MS Excel)
Must be able and willing to do physical job-related work
Knowledge of: pest and disease control chemicals and the different international market requirements; pest and disease control of citrus; fertilization and irrigation of citrus
Responsibilities will include:
Help shareholders complete their required documentation
Daily farm visits and to provide shareholders with guidance such as fertilizer planning, etc
Obtain soil and leaf samples for analysis
To conduct farm audits
Continuously apply the Company's Food and Safety Standards and Requirements
