Medical Receptionist – Medical Centre

Location: Modderfontein, Gauteng
Working Hours: Monday – Friday | 08:00 – 17:00
Alternate Saturdays: 08:00 – 11:00

Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: Market-Related (Based on Experience)

About the Opportunity

Medical Resources Group is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established Medical Centre in Modderfontein, for a professional and organised Medical Receptionist.

This role is ideal for a candidate with strong administrative skills and experience in a medical practice environment, who can confidently manage front-desk operations while delivering excellent patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage patient bookings and appointment scheduling
• Operate the switchboard and handle incoming calls professionally
• Welcome and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner
• Maintain and update patient records accurately
• Process patient payments (POS) and handle account queries
• Perform general reception and administrative duties
• Ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times
• Maintain an organised and efficient front-office environment

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12 (Essential)
• Previous experience in a medical reception or healthcare administration role
• Strong computer literacy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong administrative and organisational abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Own Transport with a valid Driver's Licence
