Minimum requirements
- Matric
- Qualification in Bachelor of Optometry
- Completed practical / clinical rotation training
- HPCSA registration to practice
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle
- MUST be willing to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays

Duties and responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision, eye health, and visual performance
- Diagnose refractive errors and identify ocular conditions and abnormalities
- Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, and appropriate visual solutions
- Fit, assess, and manage contact lenses, including patient education and follow-ups
- Provide professional advice on eyewear, lenses, and eye care products
- Detect and manage ocular diseases within scope of practice and refer patients to ophthalmologists when required
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in compliance with HPCSA and company policies
- Deliver exceptional patient care and customer service to ensure a positive client experience
- Work collaboratively with the retail and clinical team to achieve service excellence and sales targets
- Ensure the optometry practice is compliant with health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Stay updated with industry advancements, clinical guidelines, and continuing professional development requirements
- Support store operations and contribute to the professional image and reputation of the practice

Work hours:
Monday - Friday: 08h30 - 17h30
Saturday: 09h00 - 13h30
