The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all clinical staff and nursing operations within the healthcare facility. This role ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality patient care, implements clinic policies, maintains regulatory compliance, and supports the professional development of the nursing staff. The Nursing Supervisor provides leadership, guidance, and operational oversight to promote effective communication, teamwork, and a positive work environment aligned with organizational values.
2. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Clinical & Operational Oversight
Oversee clinical and operational processes to improve patient health outcomes and reduce hospitalizations and missed treatments.
Plan and coordinate patient scheduling to ensure timely admissions and adequate staffing coverage.
Demonstrate effective utilization of supplies and labor hours.
Perform clinical and operational duties as assigned to support patient care needs.
Develop and coordinate standards for measuring patient care services, including chronological documentation required by the Ministry of Health (MOH).
Ensure thorough and accurate patient documentation across all treatments, activities, and communications.
Supervise the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care in accordance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
Monitor the facility to ensure a safe, clean, and sanitary environment, including equipment function and supply inventory levels.
Respond to all clinic emergencies and maintain proficiency in emergency equipment and procedures.
Ensure staff knowledge of the water treatment systems and equipment mechanisms.
Quality Management & Regulatory Compliance
Lead and promote quality management programs, including staff and patient education on outcomes and improvement initiatives.
Lead QAPI (Quality Assessment & Performance Improvement) meetings and quality committees.
Collaborate to achieve target clinical outcomes aligned with corporate quality goals.
Review incident reports, recommend corrective actions, and present findings in monthly QAPI meetings.
Ensure compliance with all Saudi laws and regulations governing healthcare professionals and clinic operations.
Oversee development, implementation, and follow-up of Plans of Correction for internal and external surveys.
Assume Head Nurse responsibilities when required to ensure efficient and safe dialysis services.
Execute responsibilities delegated by the Governing Body as alternate facility leadership.
Leadership, Staff Development & Human Resources
Supervise daily clinical staff during operational hours.
Maintain collaborative relationships with the Medical Director, physicians, and other team members.
Coordinate with Regional Operations Director and HR for staff recruitment, interviewing, and hiring.
Ensure staff meet qualification requirements and perform duties within regulatory and organizational standards.
Oversee personnel management, performance evaluations, scheduling, and employee relations.
Counsel, discipline, and support staff in alignment with company policies.
Provide training, development, and mentorship for all clinical personnel.
Serve as subject matter expert for patient care needs, education, and in-service training.

Communication & Administrative Responsibilities
Conduct and participate in meetings with the Governing Body, Regional Director, Medical Director, Clinical Services Director, and staff as required.
Ensure monthly staff meetings, in-service training sessions, and patient care planning meetings are conducted.
Maintain all required documentation, records, and reports related to staff, patients, and operational matters.
Respond effectively to inquiries or complaints from patients, families, or staff.
Communicate expectations clearly, uphold accountability standards, and model professional conduct.
Perform other duties or tasks as assigned.
3. Qualification Requirements Education
Non-Saudis: Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelor’s or High Diploma in Nursing.
Saudis: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, or a two (2) year Associate Degree/Diploma in Nursing.
Experience
Minimum five (5) years of hemodialysis experience (ten (10) years preferred).
Minimum three (3) years in a Nurse Manager or supervisory role.
Licensure & Certifications
Current RN license from country of origin.
Registration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) (required).
BLS certification (Saudi or American Heart Association) required; ACLS preferred.
Completion of a hemodialysis training program is an advantage.
Must pass a color vision test.
