About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Customer Services Clerk to join their Customer Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the customer ordering process from enquiry through to delivery, ensuring customers receive professional, efficient, and accurate service at all times.
This role requires a highly organised individual with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer orders from initial enquiry through to completion.
- Prepare and process customer quotations.
- Handle COD orders and related documentation.
- Coordinate courier services and deliveries.
- Respond to customer enquiries and resolve customer queries professionally.
- Process back orders and monitor order status.
- Manage goods returns and credit requests.
- Maintain accurate customer and order records.
- Provide excellent customer service and build positive customer relationships.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Adhere to Health, Safety, Housekeeping, and Quality requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar Customer Service or Internal Sales Administration role.
- Previous experience working in an in-house customer service environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Strong telephone etiquette and customer interaction skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience preparing quotations and processing orders.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
