System Support Analyst - BI & SQL (Supply Chain / Retail)

You’ll sit at the centre of the operation — the person who ensures systems don’t crash, data doesn’t drift, and users don’t wait. Expect to:
Maintain the day‑to‑day health of operational and reporting systems
Deliver system development (queries, reports, user tools, interfaces) based on helpdesk requests
Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement clean, scalable fixes
Provide second‑line support for tracking systems and logistics workflows
Communicate system status updates clearly to internal teams and external partners
Spot opportunities to enhance or re‑engineer existing supply chain systems
Work closely with BI vendors, client management, and internal teams to streamline data flow
Contribute to user guides, operational specs and well‑documented processes
Participate in query performance tuning and ensure data is flowing accurately, fast and reliably

Skills & Experience:
Strong SQL experience (minimum 2 years)
Experience with SSRS / BI Development Studio
Ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders
Clear communicator with strong problem-solving ability
Well-organised, deadline-driven, thrives under shifting priorities
Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and performance
Commercial awareness + strong people skills
Qualification:
Relevant IT degree/diploma (essential)
Retail/logistics experience (advantageous)
