Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior IT Business Analyst to play a critical role in improving business systems, processes, and technology solutions across the organisation. This senior-level position combines business analysis, project leadership, digital transformation, and stakeholder engagement to ensure technology initiatives align with business objectives.
The successful candidate will work closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to identify opportunities for optimisation, drive innovation, and implement solutions that deliver measurable business value. This role offers significant exposure to strategic initiatives and has a clear growth path into broader leadership and managerial responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, analyse, and document business and departmental requirements to support strategic objectives.
- Manage multiple projects throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery within scope and timelines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to align technology solutions with business needs.
- Coordinate testing activities and validate solutions to ensure they meet operational requirements.
- Develop and implement change management strategies to support successful technology adoption.
- Lead user training initiatives and facilitate effective system handovers to business users.
- Identify and recommend AI-driven solutions to automate processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Analyse existing systems and business processes to identify opportunities for enhancement and optimisation.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives through the evaluation and implementation of innovative technologies.
- Map, analyse, and leverage business data to support informed decision-making and process improvements.
- Work closely with IT and development teams to ensure technical capabilities align with business expectations.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Relevant Degree in Information Technology, Business, Mathematics, BSc, or a related field (advanced qualification advantageous).
- 12-15 years' experience in systems development and business analysis.
- Exposure to FMCG, distribution, or related industries will be advantageous.
- Previous experience in project leadership or project management roles.
- Experience leading project teams and managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to interpret complex datasets.
- Working knowledge of relational databases.
- SQL experience will be advantageous.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage at executive level.
- Strong understanding of business process optimisation and digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience with AI-driven solutions and emerging technologies will be advantageous.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks such as Agile, Scrum, and Kanban.
- Experience with HTML5, Blazor, C#, .NET, and SQL will be advantageous.
- Exposure to Syspro and Tableau will be advantageous.
