Key Responsibilities
- Own the delivery of a product feature from concept through to production deployment.
- Gather, analyse, and document business and user requirements.
- Write specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
- Prioritise and manage the product backlog based on business needs and delivery objectives.
- Coordinate development activities, sprint planning, release preparation, and delivery tracking.
- Manage day-to-day activities of a small development team.
- Ensure developers understand requirements, priorities, and expected deliverables.
- Perform QA testing and coordinate testing activities before production releases.
- Review completed work against agreed requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Provide QA sign-off and release-readiness decisions.
- Facilitate user testing and gather feedback for continuous product improvement.
- Support product features after release, including incident management and enhancement requests.
- Communicate delivery progress, risks, and blockers to key stakeholders.
- Take accountability for the ongoing quality and success of assigned product areas.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification and relevant experience.
- Experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Project Coordination, Software Delivery, or similar roles.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a management, team lead, product, project, or delivery-focused position.
- Minimum 5 years' experience within Insurance or Financial Services environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with developers, business users, clients, and customers.
- Proven ability to write clear requirements, specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Strong organisational, planning, and prioritisation skills.
- High levels of accountability, ownership, and initiative.
- Excellent communication and follow-through capabilities.
