Job Summary
ROLE PURPOSE
To take full ownership of global procurement, import & export compliance, exchange control, landed costing, and company-wide stock control, ensuring regulatory compliance, cost efficiency, accurate inventory management, and uninterrupted production.
This role combines strategic procurement, financial discipline, and operational control across the entire business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Import & Export Compliance
- Exchange Control & Foreign Payments
- Global & Local Procurement
- Landed Costing & Cost Control
- Company-Wide Stock Control & Planning
- Procurement Administration & Invoice Control
- Oversee and control all purchasing documentation and buying invoices.
- Ensure all supplier invoices:
- Match purchase orders
- Match delivery notes / GRNs
- Match customs documentation where applicable
- Verify pricing, quantities, currency, and supplier details before approval.
- Ensure correct allocation to cost centres and stock accounts.
- Maintain disciplined filing and document control for audit purposes.
- Work closely with Finance to resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Reporting, Controls & Governance
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Technical & Regulatory
- Strong experience with:
- SAD 500 submissions
- Import/export documentation
- Exchange control and third-party payments
- Experience dealing with banks, clearing agents, and customs authorities.
Commercial & Operational
- Proven experience in procurement, stock control, and supplier negotiation.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and landed costing.
- Experience in manufacturing (flexible packaging preferred).
- High level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, or similar.
- Minimum 5+ years relevant experience.
- ERP system experience essential.
