Role Purpose A highly organised and experienced Junior Accountant is sought to manage the accounts function within the company’s finance department. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, a minimum of five years’ experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, or a similar finance role, and prior experience in a manufacturing environment. The role requires close collaboration with warehouse and manufacturing teams to ensure that manufacturing jobs, trade, and sundry items are accurately closed off in the system once completed. Fluency in Afrikaans is essential for internal communication and liaising with suppliers. Key Responsibilities • Process and verify supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies. • Perform regular reconciliation of accounts and resolve discrepancies. • Manage payment runs, including scheduling, approvals, and processing electronic or manual payments. • Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems. • Assist with month-end and year-end accounts reconciliation and reporting. • Work closely with warehouse and manufacturing teams to confirm completion of jobs, trade, and sundry items. • Close off manufacturing tickets and up.Error!
