Minimum Requirement
- Grade 12
- N6 Certificate or National Technical Diploma
- Electrical Trade Test Certificate
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years experience as a Trade Tested Electrician in a manufacturing Industry
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components and tools
- Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations and safety standards
- Excellent trouble shooting and problem solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently
- Willingness to work shift, including evenings, weekends and overtime as needed
- Clear criminal record
- Traceable reference
Duties and Responsibilities
- Preventative and Reactive Maintenance, executing scheduled maintenance plans
- Performing routine inspections, and rapidly troubleshooting electrical breakdowns to minimize downtime
- Tracing and repairing electrical faults on single phase and three -phase systems, low voltage equipment and control panels
- Regularly inspect electrical systems, circuits and equipment to identify potential hazards or malfunctions
- Report any electrical problems, safety concerns or potential risks to the Maintenance Manager or relevant personnel
- Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working envirnment
- Ensure empliance with local , state and federal electrical codes and regulations
- Respond promptly to electrical emergencies or breakdowns to minimize downtime and ensure the safety of personnel and equopment
