PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To oversee the supply and supervision of casual labour across client sites. Ensure the right employees are on site, compliant, and ready to work when the client needs them, while keeping administration and legislative compliance in order.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruit casual labour as and when required and manage a proactive staff pool.
- Give daily feedback to clients and management on staff supply.
- Support demand planning for seasonal increases and decreases.
- Ensure smooth shift start-ups with no disruption due to staff shortages.
- Keep accurate, up to date attendance lists, and make sure all employees appear on timesheets.
- Ensure every employee entering site has a complete application pack and contract, has been issued an access tag, and that all documents reach the Compliance Officer
- Coordinate medicals, inductions, competencies and training, including renewals before expiry
- Investigate incidents and run fair, consistent disciplinary processes, keeping accurate records
- Assist with Injury on Duty (IOD) investigations, paperwork and transport to medical facilities
- Ensure a labour requisition / Permission to Recruit (PTR) is on hand for all labour requested
- Ensure client-approved timesheets are correct and submitted on time
- Issue, Inspect, and Maintain PPE.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- 1 year experience in labour supply, TES, or site/shift supervision.
- Working knowledge of the LRA, BCEA, OHSA, and disciplinary procedures.
- Experience with timesheets.
- Strong communication and people management skills.
- Willingness to travel between sites and work shifts as required.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Computer literate. (Basic Excel Experience)
