Senior Bookkeeper required for a company based in Stutterheim
Requirements
Grade 12 with Accounting or Mathematics, plus a Certificate or Diploma in Accounting/Bookkeeping
Professional computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office (O365 advantageous)
Experience with accounting systems (Sage Evolution 200 advantageous)
Strong professional verbal and written communication skills
3–5 years’ experience in creditors and general ledger
3–5 years’ experience in bookkeeping and journal processing
3–5 years’ experience in procurement and fixed asset register management (advantageous)
Proven experience in staff management
Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
Reconcile staff deductions from HR and capture transactions in Sage Evolution 200
Prepare and submit monthly trial balance to the Admin Manager
Capture and reconcile supplier documentation and journals to the trial balance
Perform system administrator functions on Sage Evolution 200
Train requisition creators and authorisers on the procurement module
Manage creditors administration, reconciliations, and supplier relationships
Maintain accurate creditor age analysis and supplier payment forecasts
Reconcile staff loans and manage the fixed asset register
Perform monthly VAT reconciliations
Process banking and cashbook transactions when required
Prepare general ledger reports for departmental managers
Liaise with external financial auditors
