Sandringham | Fixed-Term Contract (11 May 2026 – 31 July 2026)
A well-established pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is seeking a qualified and experienced Locum Pharmacist (Sessional) to oversee production operations and ensure compliance with pharmaceutical manufacturing standards and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting production efficiency, aseptic processing, and compliance with SAHPRA and GMP standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production department operations
- Ensure maximum production output in a cost-effective manner
- Maintain compliance with SAHPRA, GMP, and OHSA requirements
- Support aseptic processing and sterilization procedures
- Assist with validations and quality processes
- Monitor production systems including water systems, HVAC systems, and autoclaves
- Ensure adherence to pharmaceutical manufacturing best practices
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) Degree – NQF Level 8
- Registered Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council
- Minimum 5 years’ pharmaceutical manufacturing experience
- Minimum:
- 1 year aseptic processing experience
- 3 years production experience
