Our client, a leading player in the electronics manufacturing sector, is seeking a dedicated SMT Supervisor to oversee their Surface Mount Technology production lines. The Role
As the SMT Supervisor, you will be responsible for the seamless operation of the SMT department. You will lead a team of operators and technicians to ensure that production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of component placement accuracy and quality control.
Key Responsibilities
Production Oversight: Manage daily SMT production schedules to ensure timely delivery of high-quality electronic assemblies.
Quality Control: Oversee AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) processes to maintain zero-defect standards and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on guidance for SMT machine setup, programming, and troubleshooting.
Process Improvement: Optimize feeder setups and line changeovers to minimize downtime and maximize throughput.
Team Management: Mentor and supervise staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and industry best practices (IPC standards).
Requirements
Education: A Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
Experience: Proven supervisory experience specifically within an SMT environment.
Technical Proficiency: Extensive hands-on experience with SMT machinery and AOI systems is essential.
Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving abilities and a deep understanding of electronic components and PCB assembly processes.
