Production Manager
Retail shopfitting factory,
Ottery, Western Cape.
Salary. R400 – R500k per annum.
Minimum 5 years experience in the position.
The successful applicant will need to run a 2 000m² factory, with a staff complement of 30 to 45 people. They will handle all aspects of production, and report directly to the management team.
Their scope of work will include, but not be limited to, planning of production lead times, checking cutting lists, ensuring plans are interpreted correctly, directing work from the machine shop through assembly, and to finishing. Management will need to be proactive, to ensure that all units and parts reach their completion date ahead of time, to the correct quality, and within budget. An understanding of costings is imperative, and a keen eye for detail and quality will be imperative.
All factory based HR will fall under the production manager, as well as the factory and machine maintenance. The factory will be run compliant with all relative legislation, at all times. Factory hours are 07h30 to 17h00, on weekdays. Reasonable overtime may be required as and when necessary.
