Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is currently seeking to employ a Maintenance Fitter to join their team based in Port Elizabeth.

Requirements:
- Qualified Trade Tested Fitter.
- Valid South African Driver's Licence (essential).
- Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
- Ability to participate in a standby roster and respond to after-hours breakdowns when required.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Good knowledge of preventative and corrective maintenance practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform planned preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant and production equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective repairs.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment reliability and optimal performance.
- Attend to emergency breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
- Participate in standby duties and respond to call-outs as required.
- Maintain maintenance records and complete job cards accurately.
- Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and maintenance processes.
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to achieve operational targets.
Remuneration and Benefits:
- Normal Working Hours: 42 hours per week
- Annual Leave: 15 days per year
- Annual Bonus: 15 days' bonus (pro-rated where applicable)
- Provident Fund:
- Employer Contribution: 6%
- Employee Contribution: 5%
- No Medical Aid provided.
- Standby allowance and call-out duties applicable as per company requirements.
