Job Summary
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure planned daily and shift production targets are consistently met, adhering to yields and specifications.
- Control requisition and utilisation of raw materials to prevent stock losses.
- Maintain waste levels within target limits to reduce unnecessary costs.
- Comply with and accurately record all specifications and procedures for each shift.
- Guarantee that all manufactured products meet established quality standards.
- Ensure all machinery and equipment are maintained in full working order.
- Adhere to hygiene and safety standards on a daily and per-shift basis.
- Supervise staff to ensure tasks are performed efficiently and productively.
- Foster effective communication between management and team members.
- Manage staff conduct to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Apply disciplinary measures when necessary, in line with company procedures.
Knowledge and Experience
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Proficient in computer applications, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Previous supervisory experience within a baking environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, capable of liaising with management at all levels.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and committed.
- Willingness to work night shifts as required.
