Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team for a fixed term contract starting in January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accountant with a strong background in a manufacturing environment.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, month-end close, and general ledger management.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Immediately available and based in Pietermaritzburg.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
Responsibilities:
- Full-cycle accounting including reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
- Preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
- Liaise with management to provide accurate financial insights.
