Position Overview – Financial Manager / Chief Accountant (International Exposure: Hong Kong, Vietnam & China)
We are seeking a highly capable Financial Manager / Chief Accountant with extensive international exposure to lead and manage the Hong Kong entity’s accounting and reporting, while providing oversight and guidance to finance teams in Vietnam and China. This pivotal role ensures accuracy in accounting, strong internal controls, timely closings, intercompany reconciliations, AR/AP management, budgeting and forecasting, treasury management, and compliance with audit and tax requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hong Kong Accounting: Full ownership of bookkeeping, general ledger, management reporting, and audit preparation in compliance with HKFRS/IFRS.
- Oversight of Vietnam & China: Review financial statements, guide local accountants, ensure compliance, and support process improvements.
- Monthly & Group Reporting: Lead consolidated closings, prepare management accounts, KPI dashboards, and variance analysis.
- Intercompany Transactions: Manage invoicing, settlements, eliminations, and cross-border compliance.
- AR/AP Management: Monitor receivables, supervise payables, and ensure cash disbursement accuracy.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead annual budgets, forecasts, and financial planning analysis.
- Treasury & Banking: Manage cash flow, multi-currency banking, and liquidity planning.
- Audit & Compliance: Prepare audit documentation, ensure tax compliance, and maintain internal controls.
- Financial Systems & Process Improvement: Enhance ERP usage (NetSuite preferred), standardise procedures, and implement automation where possible.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/ACCA preferred.
- Experience: 5–10 years in international, multi-entity accounting; hands-on HK accounting essential; VN/CN experience advantageous.
- Technical Skills: HKFRS/IFRS expertise, intercompany and consolidation knowledge, ERP (NetSuite preferred), strong Excel and analytical skills.
- Soft Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, high attention to detail, independent working ability, and excellent communication in English.
