Job Summary
An opportunity for an analytical and competent Cost and Management Accountant has opened up at a Reputable Company based in the North of Durban
The individual will be required to do the following
- Provide costing and financial services to the Company by performing core tasks; management accounting services
- Capital expenditure evaluations
- Monthly management account reporting
- Process audits
- Assist in budget and forecasting process / adhoc costing queries/projects requested by management and other service departments.
- Manufacturing Accounting Services
- Capital Expenditure evaluations
- Budgets and other costing queries
- Standards, Procedures and Administration
- Ensure understanding and application of all relevant policies and procedures set out in the QMS as may be appropriate
- Safety, Health, Environment and Housekeeping,
- Ensure an understanding of departmental budget, as may be applicable and apply a practice of cost control
- Qualifications
- B.Comm (Accounting, Management accounting)
- Pref. registered with Professional Body, CIMA / SAIPA
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word – Intermediate to Advance Excel
- Knowledge of Pastel Evolution or similar ERP system
- Experience
- Min.5 years relevant costing and financial experience in a manufacturing environment
- A working knowledge of absorption costing is essential
