A well-established manufacturing company in Pietermaritzburg is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Administrator to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in Quality Systems, QMS administration and document control, who enjoys working with detail, processes and multiple departments to ensure quality standards are maintained.
Administer and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
Manage controlled quality documents, procedures, work instructions, forms and records.
Coordinate document reviews, revisions, approvals and distribution.
Maintain document registers, revision histories and records.
Support ISO compliance and internal/external audits.
Manage document control and ensure current approved documentation is available.
Coordinate and maintain die release approvals and records.
Conduct and record incoming goods inspections and manage non-conforming materials.
Administer the customer returns process, including logging, tracking and investigation.
Maintain accurate quality records, reports and performance information.
Administer Quality Assurance Reports (QAR), including quality incidents, non-conformances, customer complaints and corrective actions.
Monitor outstanding actions and ensure timely close-out.
Maintain and control CMM and DOIC measurement programmes and records.
Assist with investigations into dimensional discrepancies and measurement requirements.
Coordinate PPAP documentation and customer-specific quality requirements.
Maintain customer approval records, capability studies, dimensional reports, material certifications and related documentation.
Work closely with Production, Design, Purchasing, Stores, Sales, Customer Service and Metrology to support quality requirements.
Matric / Grade 12
Tertiary qualification would be advantageous.
Quality-related certification would be advantageous.
Minimum 3 years' experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Systems or Document Control within a manufacturing environment.
Experience working with ISO 9001 or similar Quality Management Systems.
Experience with quality documentation, inspections and corrective action processes.
Good understanding of QMS and quality auditing principles.
Knowledge of document control systems and quality databases.
Understanding of Root Cause Analysis and corrective action methodologies.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.
