BOILERMAKER
Location: Limpopo

A well-established industrial manufacturing operation in Limpopo is currently seeking a skilled and qualified Boilermaker to join their team. This opportunity is suited to a dedicated artisan with strong fabrication, welding, and maintenance experience in a demanding production environment.

Purpose of the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of structural steel components, plant equipment, and mechanical systems. This includes working from technical drawings, performing precision fabrication, and ensuring all work meets required safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, assemble, and install structural steel components including conveyors, platforms, trolleys, and related equipment
• Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on various projects
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications
• Develop and manufacture complex shapes such as square-to-round, lobster back, and custom components
• Conduct accurate material measurements, marking, cutting, and fitting within specified tolerances
• Construct jigs and perform surface preparation prior to welding
• Inspect completed work, identify defects, and carry out necessary repairs
• Maintain and repair plant equipment and mechanical systems
• Operate hand tools, power tools, cutting torches, and measuring instruments safely and effectively
• Support standby and overtime requirements when operationally necessary

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 or N3 qualification
• Qualified Trade Tested Boilermaker
• 3–5 years’ post-trade experience
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
• Strong experience in fabrication, welding, and structural assembly
• Ability to work independently from drawings and verbal instructions
• Exposure to conveyor systems, boilers, or steam systems will be advantageous
