- Matric / Senior Certificate
- Diploma or certificate in Production, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field – advantageous
Requirements
- Valid Drivers License
- Minimum 5+ years in a similar work environment
- Exposure to heavy manufacturing, fabrication, or engineering environments
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Excellent PC skills (incl. Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook)
- Effective Time Management, attendance and record keeping;
- Strong electronic, written & oral communication skills;
- Methodical, with an ability to work under pressure whilst being attentive to detail, with the capacity to multitask, must be able to use own initiative, and be a team player;
- Good respectful communication, effective conflict management and interpersonal skills with superiors, colleagues, and suppliers
- Organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must take pride in appearance of Pretoria facility and equipment and has excellent attention to detail
Duties
- The primary responsibility of the Administrator is to provide administrative and operational support to the factory by managing production work orders, ensuring accurate inventory transactions, processing variances, and supporting production planning
- Developing and delivering on a monthly manufacturing schedule with the Factory Supervisor;
- Capturing works orders and issuing works instructions to the Warehouse and Factory;
- Capturing production receipts, closing works orders and generating put-aways;
- Investigating variances & non-conformances and ensuring the system records accurately match the physical stock;
- Supporting the Factory schedule & logistics to maximize production efficiency and minimize staff & machinery downtime,
- Ensuring that the Factory processes are efficient and that the work environment meets are internal & regulatory requirements,
- Ensuring that customers receive a consistent quality product meeting the required internal & external quality standards with every order,
- Proactively ensuring that raw material, spares & consumables stock levels are maintained, to minimize downtime,
- Monitoring & updating the preventative maintenance schedule,
- Identifying, sourcing & providing training to develop the Manufacturing team,
- Ensuring that product quality is maintained and that the company Quality Standards & processes are adhered to at all times,
- Working closely with the Warehouse, Technical Services, Sales & Capital Equipment Admin teams to ensure that customers’ needs are met,
- Supports the company’s Safety, Housekeeping and Quality Standards. Incumbents will be subject to mandatory testing for Alcohol and/or drugs on a random, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, return to duty, and follow up basis.
- Demonstrate and promote a proactive commitment to health & safety, well-being and the environment whilst complying with all laws and company policies.
